Refer a Friend
Tell your friends about GJW Direct and you’ll get a voucher if they buy a policy. We’ll reward your friend too, so it’s a win-win
How it works:
1. Register - Register above using your name and the email address you used to buy your policy. Already signed up? You can track referrals in your members area.
2. Share - Share your unique referral link with your friends via WhatsApp, email, or simply by sharing your name. We’ll also send you an email with all the details you need.
3. Rewarded - When your friend purchases their first policy with us worth £150 or more, using your unique link or entering your name after clicking “Been referred by a friend?” during the purchase process, you’ll both qualify for a £40 voucher. Once they’ve passed the 14-day cooling-off period, you’ll both receive your vouchers by email.

Your friend must take out a policy with a minimum total charge of £150 and be a new customer to GJW Direct to get the £40 voucher reward.

Referrer can choose a voucher from the following retailers: Amazon, Argos, ASDA, M&S, Leisure Vouchers, Inspire TravelCard.

Friends, family, fellow boat owners or people you know through your marina, moorings or boating club who might be looking for boat insurance.

There are many ways to share – direct with your friends via WhatsApp, social media or even just giving your name. You can even post your unique link on forums, your social media accounts or anywhere you like. If someone purchases a policy through it, subject to referral terms & conditions, you’ll be rewarded.

Rewards are sent to you via email within 28 days of your friend starting their policy. This gives time for payments to clear and for their 14 day cooling off period to pass.

No, you don’t need an active policy with us, but you need to be over 18.

There are limits to how many rewards can be earned in a time period:
- Up to 5 rewards in any 24-hour window.
- A maximum of 25 rewards (or £1,500 in total value) per year. -
The reward is valid for 90 days from the point of issue.

Your friend can only qualify for the offer if they are a new customer to GJW Direct.

The referred friend must be a new customer to GJW Direct with a total policy charge of £150 or more. They must not have a previously cancelled or lapsed policy, liveaboard their boat permanently and use it as their primary residence and over the required age to purchase their chosen insurance policy.

If you cancel your policy, your referral reward will be revoked and your friend will no longer be eligible for their reward.
